The First Grade (FG) kits were released as part of the Gundam 20th Anniversary Big Bang Project in 1999 as a modern remake of the original 1980 1/144 kits. The kits are molded in one color and contains no polycaps, but feature snap-fit assembly of current kits. The first release in the series is the RX-78-2 Gundam.
